FAQS
Clear answers to help you understand our solution better.
-
A custom integration is created when you choose to use DataSync’s tools to connect one specific piece of software to another in a way that fits your unique workflow. This could include linking a lead-tracking system (such as Indeed) to a CRM platform (such as Follow Up Boss).
With a custom integration, we work with you through the entire process—planning, designing, building, and refining—until we reach the exact outcome you want. The result is a tailored data flow that moves information from one system into another in the format and structure you expect.
-
The onboarding fee covers the upfront work required to connect your systems, learn your environment, and set up your first integration correctly. Every business is different, so onboarding ensures our developers can access your software, understand your data flow, and get everything working the right way from day one.
-
Yes. DataSync does not store your data unless you are using our AnalyticsSync platform. For standard integrations, we simply move data from one system to another and maintain the connection between them. Your information stays inside the platforms you already use.
-
No. There is no desktop or mobile app for the integrations themselves. Our integrations are fully customized and handled by our senior developers on the back end—there’s no user interface for you to manage the connection manually.
You do get an account portal where you can view your subscriptions, update payment methods, request support, and see the integrations you have with us. But the actual “interface” for your data is the software you already use.
If we connect Indeed to Follow Up Boss, for example, you continue using the Indeed and Follow Up Boss interfaces. Our system runs in the background to move the data between them, so no additional app is needed.
-
Bronze is the only tier where your first integration can be either existing or custom. That’s why we reference both options in that tier.
All higher tiers include multiple existing integrations by default. Custom work is still available in those tiers, but it’s handled separately as part of their included monthly customization hours. That’s why the language changes—custom work is built into the higher-tier structure instead of being chosen upfront.
-
An existing integration is one that we’ve already built for another customer and have added to DataSync’s catalog of supported modules. Because we’re already familiar with the systems involved and the integration is pre-built, you don’t pay any customization or development costs.
If the integration you need already exists in our module library, you can simply subscribe to the monthly recurring fee and start using it without additional setup expenses.
-
Yes. You can add more integrations at any time.
If the integration already exists in our system, the cost to add and set it up for your organization is $299 per month with no additional build fee.
If the integration is completely custom—meaning we haven’t connected those two softwares before—the setup cost is $1,000 to build it, and then $299 per month to run it.
This keeps existing integrations inexpensive to add and only charges custom-build pricing when we’re creating something new.

Zapier and DataSync aren’t the same type of solution.
Zapier is great for simple, pre-built automations—things anyone can set up by following a tutorial. If you need basic triggers and actions between widely used apps, Zapier does that well.
DataSync is built for the opposite problem. We handle integrations that don’t exist yet, involve complex data structures, require custom logic, or need systems connected in ways off-the-shelf tools can’t support. You tell us what you want your systems to do, and we engineer the process from scratch.
Zapier works when the path already exists.

You won’t reach a call center—you’ll work directly with senior IT consultants who built the software and know your challenges firsthand. Our support goes beyond answering questions: we help you streamline workflows, scale smoothly, and solve complex issues with real expertise. For deeper needs, our Silver–Ruby support packages include IT hours, system build-outs, and strategic consulting so you can grow without the tech headaches.

Yes—our platform evolves constantly. Our core tools (DataSync AI, the DataSync Crawler, and the DataSync Form) are becoming more advanced over time. As these tools improve, the modules that connect different software systems become faster, more stable, and more capable.
Your integrations won’t change in what they do, but they will improve in how they run. You automatically get these upgrades as part of your subscription. That means your integrations stay current, stay functional, and don’t require expensive rebuilds every time technology moves forward.
The system gets better. Your integrations get better. You don’t have to lift a finger.
